How to Restore a Previous Version of Your Site Using JetBackup Print

  • 0

If your website encounters a critical error after a core database software update or an accidental folder deletion, our automated snapshot tracking system can help restore your site to a working state. Follow this guide to roll back your account using our JetBackup utility.

Step 1: Access the JetBackup Dashboard

  1. Log into your cPanel dashboard control area.
  2. Navigate down to the Files tray section and select JetBackup 5.

Step 2: Choose Your Restore Resource Category

The management interface allows you to choose exactly which parts of your account to roll back:

  • Full Backups: Reverts your entire account (website files, emails, configurations, and databases) back to a previous point in time.
  • Home Directory: Reverts only your web site files and code layouts, leaving your email inboxes untouched.
  • Database Backups: Reverts only your MySQL text frameworks (ideal for undoing bad blog posts or plugin updates).

Step 3: Run the Restore Process

  1. Click on your chosen target category icon (e.g., Home Directory).
  2. Review the tracking table timeline list and click on the specific historical snapshot date you want to restore.
  3. Click the blue Restore command key button located in the bottom action bar.
  4. On the subsequent settings verification panel, click Restore to Queue.

The platform will process your request in the background. You can track the progress by checking the Queue section in the JetBackup sidebar, which will display a green "Completed" status badge once the restore is finished.
